There are a number of things that should have been reported. First, of course, is the definition of happiness. Second, the number of people surveyed in each income category. If the parameter of happiness is to keep earning more and more till you are live, it makes little sense for me.Basic needs of life such as medical care, housing, education, transport and communication should be satisfied and they should be of quality and should be hassle free. But in practice, things are different. To be treated well or to be respected, the more you have, the better it is. One's attitude towards others is also important. Thirst for more and more gives temporary happiness, no contentment. Permanent and true happiness comes from inner peace.
Happiness can be assessed on three plains: Physiological, Psychological and Intellectual. Richness can help to attend happiness on all three plains but it largely depends on individuals. One can buy best guitar but the important is how nicely you can play with it.
Cresci ouvindo coisas horriveis sobre o dinheiro, ouvindo estas frases " dinheiro nao traz felicidade...." e por ai vai. Mas eu pergunto, por que as pessoas fazem fila me frente as casas lotericas pra jogar na mega-sena??? E porque elas querem ficar ricas....imagine se houvesse um sorteio em que o ganhador ganhasse o direito de ficar mais pobre. Com certeza nao haveria fila de pessoas querendo apostar. Nunca conheci ninguem cujo sonho fosse ser "miseravel".
Precisamos, sim, tratar bem o dinheiro, termos um bom relacionamento com o dinheiro e permitir que o dinheiro faça as nossas vidas mais confortaveis e divertidas: viver em casas/aptos confortaveis e bem localizados, ter um plano de saude, fazer viagens, passeios, assistir filmes, estudar em boas escolas, vestir-se bem, alimentar-se bem..etc.
